24 Hour Le Mans raceFrom Camcoat in The UK
20% of all the cars entered in the 2009 24 hour Le Mans race had exhausts that had been ceramic coated by Camcoat Performance Coatings, the Tech Line European agents company. The coating system used was "Racespec" with TLHB on the inside and basecoat HHBK plus Black Satin on the external surfaces. In a
race dominated by the diesel powered Audi and Peugeot LMP1 cars the Oak Racing Pescaralo Mazda came 3rd in class LMP2. In 2008 Camcoat applied the same coating system to all 20 cars produced for the Super League Formula V12 engined cars. This high visibility exposure has added to the established credibility of Camcoat as a class act and has resulted in new and interesting OEM applications.
Camcoat has been applying these and other motorsport coatings for fifteen years for well respected component manufacturers such as SS Tube Technology, Primary Designs and Alcon Components and for individual teams and competitors in all sectors and levels of motorsport.
TESTING
Tech Line Coatings will be establishing a program with select companies for testing of new products. Any company that is interested should let us know and we will send the appropriate forums.
We continually work on developing new products as well as improving existing products. Before any product is introduced to the market we have independent testing done. For many of our products real world application and use is the best method for testing.
For companies wishing to be part of our program several requirements will need to be met. One of the most critical is timely testing. Generally we will need a report back within 7 to 10 days of receipt of the Developmental Sample. In addition specific information regarding application techniques, curing, environmental issues such as temperature and humidity will need to be recorded. Testing in different environments, by companies using different application equipment, allows us to see if there are any significant application issues to be dealt with. Testing on a vehicle or on an actual part will also be required.
Being part of this program will allow the companies involved an early look at new products.
