CERMAKROME
CermaKrome is not
only the best performing Metallic Ceramic
Coating on the market, with superior salt spray
(corrosion) resistance and the highest heat
rating another advantage exists. One major plus
in today’s industry is that we have the lowest
percentage of Hexavalent Chrome (A hazardous
material) in the coating, of any manufacturer.
This is an aid when dealing with Air Quality and
Safety issues. Now we have confirmed more good
news for applicators and end users of
CermaKrome.
A recent test to
EPA standards was run and confirms that
cured
CermaKrome has NO Hexavalent Chrome in the
finished product. This is the third test run and
is in confirmation with the previous two tests.
CBC2 and CBX have also been run and show no Hex
Chrome in the finished product.
LTC
While
normally LTC is sprayed on it is also possible
to Wipe if on with cloth. The cloth should be
lint free and micro Fiber towels work best.
However blue shop towels (paper towels) also
work quite well and since the towel must be
disposed of after use, the cost savings from
using the blue paper towels is significant.
Wiping LTC on works best, when large surfaces
such as a car body, are to be coated. For
smaller more detailed areas spraying is still
best. One major advantage to wiping the coating
on is that the material goes further as it is
applied in a thinner film that is possible when
spraying.
